It is a non-invasive, cancer screening test in development by Vetabolics.

A veterinarian prescribes the Vetabolics panel. Urine is collected by the pet owner, sent to our lab for analysis, and results are returned to the prescribing veterinarian.
Catching cancer early results in the best outcomes and the most time for pet owners to process the news. Early detection can make all the difference.

General acceptance of commercially available “cancer screening” tests has been tepid and slow, as these tests are mostly non-specific.

We are targeting a cost to veterinarians of $125 per test.

That helps to catch some cancer before clinical presentation, but far fewer than will be caught with Vetabolics serial repetitive testing prescribed by a veterinarian.
This screening test is for all breeds, but will initially be offered for specific breeds. We are bringing the test out in stages by adding additional cancers. Certain breeds are more prone to certain cancers, which is the reason we will offer the product as a panel for specific breeds.
